Welcome to your It Girl Era

what i believe

EVERYONE IS AN IT GIRL

When we first think of the term “it girl,” usually it’s filled with connotations of arrogance, celebrity, maybe a bit inaccessible. But really, being an it girl is none of those things. To be an it girl is simply to be fully, and completely yourself.

That is what I do. I take photos, and create art, that remind you of your power. Of how beautiful you are. How strong you are. And how being yourself is the most it girl move you can make.

know ME

A woman with wavy, shoulder-length blonde hair wearing a pink blazer with three-dimensional floral embellishments. She has a gentle smile and is looking slightly to the side against a plain, muted background.

I’m Olivia; photographer, content coach, it girl movement founder, fashion girlie, nature lover and dog mum. Oh and I paint horses a lot, too.

The “It Girl” movement started kinda by accident. I was making a pivot away from my 10 year career as a fashion photographer, and into the personal brand photography space, and needed a tag line.

“It Girl” was just meant to just be that tag line; some clever marketing… but it became so much more than that.

I realised pretty quickly that I was struggling to use the phrase “it girl” myself because I did not feel like an it girl. I associated “it girl” with “arrogant, unapproachable, closed off.” Those were not words I felt represented me.

And then it hit me - “It Girl” didn’t mean those things. I had simply assigned that meaning to that phrase…. so I could reassign it a new meaning.

I reclaimed it.

To be an “It Girl” is to be fully embodied. To be kind and calm and considerate. An “It Girl” expresses herself however she likes. It doesn’t matter what shape you are, what job you do, what colour your skin is… you are an it girl.

So that’s why I’m here. That’s why I’m doing what I’m doing; to reclaim the It Girl message, and to help you embrace YOUR it girl energy, too.
