Campaign For La Galeria Elefante

A couple of weeks ago, I did a small shoot whilst on holiday in Ibiza with my mum. I’ve been visiting the island for most of my life, and always wanted to shoot there, so I took this as a perfect chance to do so. Little did I know that that shoot would end up taking me back to the island two weeks later, only this time to shoot a campaign for La Galeria Elefante.

I’d borrowed a handful of items from the concept store, based on the island and run by Victoria Durrer Gasse. After seeing what I’d done with her pieces, she asked me if I could go back, and work for her. Of course, I said yes! The images you see here are the result of our shoot together.

It was an intense two days (I landed at midnight the night before, and literally went from the beach at sunset straight to the airport to fly back to the UK). Despite the travel, and full on two days, I had the best time, and it was 100% worth it.

La Galeria Elefante, and Victoria’s clothes are all very bohemian and ethereal. I made sure to harness the natural light we had on the island (which isn’t hard, seeing as the light in Ibiza is so beautiful!). We focused on shooting around Victoria’s home, the store itself, and then back to the beach I’d shot the original images on. Our models were all local girls (one of whom was scouted as she happened to walk into the shop as we began shooting!).

All in all, it was an incredible experience, and I hope to be back out there soon shooting again.
