If you've been following my work for a while, then the name Claire Headdon should be fairly familiar to you. Claire is a dear friend of mine, and someone who I truly admire. A few months ago, back in May, Claire asked me to shoot her lookbook for her new collection of wedding dresses (and we ALL know how much I love to shoot wedding dresses!) so of course I agreed.
We actually shot this lookbook, and a beautiful editorial as well, but I can't show you that yet, because it's due to be published on Rock My Wedding next month! Needless to say, I can't wait to share those images too.
Claire is an incredibly talented designer, and to have someone who makes such beautiful dresses, by hand, living in Falmouth, with organic materials, is truly incredible. Her work is impeccable, and every single little detail is thought out. Just look at the backs on all of these dresses!
What I love the most though, may just be that most of Claire's dresses are seperates, which means that your wedding dress doesn't necessarily just have to sit in a closet for the rest of it's life, post wedding day. These lace tops could just as easily be worn on a night out with jeans, and the slinky tops would pare well with a long coloured skirt in the summer months too. Who said wedding attire can't be worn over and over again?
So, if you're local to Cornwall, you believe in living an Organic, sustainable way of life, you're getting married, and you want to have a dress made by someone talented, and local to you... look no further than Claire Headdon!
