A Beach Wedding In Cornwall
I can't begin to tell you how long I've been waiting to share these images for... Since November last year! These were shot on a cold, pretty grey day last year, and it was a shoot I'd been dreaming up in my head for a very long time. Can you believe this was my first time doing a styled bridal shoot with both a bride and a groom?! To say I'm thrilled with these images is a pretty big understatement, because I really am. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely. These images were very quickly picked up by one of my favourite wedding blogs, Rock My Wedding, and it's always such an honour to be featured on a blog as famous as that!
We've also got to take a second to admire the dress which was sent down to me from "Lovely," a bridal shop in Devon, thanks to the help of Sweet Pea PR, in London. Putting together a big shoot like this, with so many elements, can be really daunting... especially when you're trying something out for the first time. So many things become a challenge, such as: What will the weather be like? How will we carry all these things down to the beach? Not to mention the fact that at that time of year, the sun set at 4:30pm!
These images mean a lot to me, because they are a perfect representation of the kind of weddings and the kind of editorial work I love to produce. Being outdoors means so much to me. Using the natural world as part of my images is just as important as the subjects, so I will always work hard to produce work of this kind. I'm also sure you'll agree that we all worked incredibly well together as a team, and ended up producing some pretty lovely images.
This was also "pre Olivia vlogging" so Anna from The Cornish Life happily agreed to come and film behind the scenes for me, which you can watch here. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the day, as there were a lot of us! I couldn't have done it without any of you.
