I’m Olivia, a fashion photographer, blogger and Podcaster. A Swiss native with an obsession for the sea (can you see the irony in that?), my dog and magazines. I work with brands and business throughout the UK such as Barbour, Joules, White Stuff and Crew Clothing. I help them to grow their audiences, sell their products and inspire their followers.
I’ve always been obsessed with fashion - I grew up flicking through all of my mum’s fashion magazines. When I was 15 and discovered photography, my life changed forever. After 3 years studying Fashion Photography at Falmouth university, I decided to stay in Cornwall and pursue my career as a photographer. However, things didn’t go quite to plan.
Fashion photography felt totally out of my reach, because I wasn’t living in London. I told myself that it wasn’t possible for me, so I needed to focus on something else. That something was weddings. I spent a year and a half marketing and building up a wedding photography business, only to shoot my first wedding… and hate it.
Frustrated with myself, I decided that there must be another way. Surely, there was a way for me to live my dream, no matter where I chose to live?
That was when everything changed.
I began to pitch myself to brands that I wanted to work with, offering to shoot imagery for them from the beautiful location I lived in; Cornwall. To my relief, it worked.
I’m now happy to say that I no longer shoot weddings. In fact, I work full time as a fashion and content photographer for brands all over the country - and now, all over the world!
I am proof that you can be a successful fashion photographer, no matter where you choose to live.
